Palms 

One of our South Florida staples in the tree world.  There are so many varieties available here in South Florida that we cannot begin to cover all of them here.  I suggest you see the web site:  rarepalm.com which is the site of my friend Steve Stern down in the Redland.  Explore all the full sun and understory palms.  Understory means they are happy in the shade, as many palms grow in protected rain forests.  Also, www.calusacreek.com for more common varieties.  Make sure you identify just what you are looking for in palms since some are more cold sensitive than others.  Transplanting palms is a science and you need to talk to your supplier to determine the method of planting and the care your palms will need in their early stages of life on your property.  Here are a few of my favorites and most popular for South Florida yards:
